In the gallery are displayed a varieties of wood carvings ranging from classical fragments that once adorned a building or a royal court down to the simplest folk level which carry the spirit of the common mass. The collection includes the relief pannels depicting the episodes from Ramayana, Bhagavata, individual deities, temple motifs, high reliefs from the wooden chariot of Tamilnadu State, folk wood carvings from Digapahandi, Kantilo and other contemporary carvings superb in their details and delicate in their grace.
